Marie Hefley
began her training in Longmont, Colorado at Centennial State Ballet and moved to Denver in 2022 to train with Colorado Ballet Academy in their pre-professional division. She has attended several summer intensives including: Colorado Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Ballet West, and, most recently, City Ballet of San Diego.
In 2023, Marie joined the Ballet West Trainee program during which she performed various ballets such as Willam Christensen’s The Nutcracker, La Bayadere, Lew Christensen’s Airs de Ballet, George Balanchine’s Symphony in C, Frederick Ashton’s Cinderella, Val Caniporoli’s Jekyll & Hyde, and Adam Sklute’s Swan Lake, to name a few.
Marie has most recently been involved in the Chicago dance scene performing as a soloist in The Ruth Page Nutcracker, as well in contemporary productions with Winifred Haun & Dancers. She found a love for teaching through Joffrey Ballet’s Community Engagement Program where she instructed young students in Chicago Public Schools.
