Chiara Valle

Chiara Valle is a native of New York and is currently an Apprentice with City Ballet of San Diego where she has danced in multiple productions including: Still World Turning Again, Four Seasons, Raymonda, Paquita, The Nutcracker, Rhapsody in Blue, La Bayadere, and Don Quixote. Prior to joining City Ballet of San Diego in 2020, she began her professional journey as a Trainee with The Washington Ballet under the direction of Julie Kent. Chiara has danced in productions on The Kennedy Center Stage with The Washington Ballet, which include Giselle, Les Sylphides, The Dream, and The Nutcracker. Additionally, Chiara was invited by Patricia McBride and Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux to dance as an Apprentice with The Chautauqua Institution, where she had the opportunity to dance in company productions with Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre and Charlotte Ballet. Chiara also had a unique opportunity at a young age to be chosen for American Ballet Theatre’s World premiere of The Nutcracker by Alexei Ratmansky, where students worked directly with Ratmansky and the building of a new ballet. Chiara is a graduate of Boston Ballet School and received her early training at Manhattan Youth Ballet, JKO School at American Ballet Theatre, and Ballet Academy East in New York City. Chiara spent her summers attending Chautauqua Institution, Exploring Ballet with Suzanne Farrell, Boston Ballet School, Miami City Ballet, Ellison Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, and Kirov Ballet Academy. Chiara is excited to join the school faculty for the 2022/2023 school year, after being a substitute teacher for the last 2 years, with prior experience in the Children’s Division at The Washington Ballet School.
