Samantha Schmidt was born in Riverside, California and began her ballet training at the School of International Ballet of Redlands. In 2018, she furthered her training at The Kirov Academy of Washington DC as a trainee. The following year she joined Vitacca Ballet in Houston, Texas. Over the years, Samantha has participated in many acclaimed summer intensives including; American Ballet Theater, Colorado Ballet, and the International Master Classes in Prague. As she danced, she worked on receiving her associate degree in Spanish and in 2021 she spent a year as a Dance major and English minor at The University of California, Irvine. She is currently in the process of finishing her BA in psychology at The University of Arizona online. Samantha spent the 2022/23 season at City Ballet of San Diego’s studio company and is now dancing professionally with Golden State Ballet.
