Katelyn Cecil
hails from Conifer, Colorado. She is currently an Apprentice with the City Ballet of San Diego, where she has performed in Serenade, Four Temperaments, The Nutcracker, and other notable works. Katelyn began dancing at the age of four at Belliston Academy of Ballet. She furthered her training at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School underMarjorie Grundvig and Dennis Marshall. In 2020, Katelyn joined Charlotte Ballet’s Trainee Program, directed by Laszlo Berdo and Kati Hanlon Mayo. While there, she had the privilege of working with Master Teacher Patricia McBride and performed excerpts from Le Corsaire, Who Cares?, and Raymonda Variations. She then became a second company member with Milwaukee Ballet, where she performed in Michael Pink’s Swan Lake, as well as contemporary pieces choreographed by Calvin Hilpert and Kristopher Estes-Brown. Katelyn has also attended several prestigious Summer Intensive Programs, including those at Houston Ballet, Boston Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Charlotte Ballet, Milwaukee Ballet, the City Ballet of San Diego, and NW Dance Project.
