
Annie Clifford
is originally from Bath, Maine and began her ballet training under the direction of Elizabeth Drucker. She attended summer programs at The Nutmeg Conservatory, Boston Ballet School, and Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet before attending the year round program at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet on scholarship in 2019. At Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, she trained under the direction of Darla Hoover, Nicholas Ade, Melinda Howe, Andrea Long, and Simon Ball. In 2021, she began studying ballet at the University of Utah and graduated with a BFA in Ballet. While at the University of Utah, she performed in various classical and contemporary work by guest choreographers with both the Ballet and Modern dance programs. In 2023, she was invited to join the studio company of City Ballet of San Diego and became an apprentice in 2025. She has performed in both classical and neoclassical work with City Ballet such as Serenade and Emeralds by George Balanchine, Elizabeth Wistrich’s Nutcracker, Swan Lake, The Seasons, Bolero, and Carmen, as well as Geoff Gonzalez’ An American in Paris, Carmina Burana, and Dracula.
