PROGRAM
Toymaker Dr. Coppélius is lonely. He creates a mechanical doll so lifelike he imagines her as his daughter, named Coppélia. She evens fools the villagers that she is alive, including Franz who is engaged to Swanhilda. Swanhilda is jealous of Coppélia and persuades her friends to investigate Dr Coppélius house and his daughter, Coppélia. After Coppélia is discovered to only be a mechanical doll, Swanhilda and Franz are married.
