Ariana Gonzalez<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

received her training primarily from her parents Steven and Elizabeth Wistrich. As a principal dancer with the City Ballet of San Diego since 2001, she has danced the lead roles in the company\u2019s productions of The Nutcracker<\/cite>, Giselle<\/cite>, Don Quixote<\/cite>, A Midsummer Night\u2019s Dream<\/cite>, Carmen<\/cite>, Romeo and Juliet<\/cite>, Esmeralda and the Hunchback<\/cite>, House of Alba<\/cite>, Swan Lake<\/cite>, La Baydere<\/cite>, Spartacus Pas de Deux<\/cite>, Grand Pas Classique<\/cite>, and Ramona<\/cite>. Additionally, she has been featured in leading roles in works by George Balanchine, including Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux<\/cite>, Agon<\/cite>, Valse Fantaisie<\/cite>, Who Cares?<\/cite>, Serenade<\/cite>, Divertimento No. 15<\/cite>, Apollo<\/cite>, The Four Temperaments<\/cite>, Rubies<\/cite>, Walpurgisnacht Ballet<\/cite>, Tarantella<\/cite>, Emeralds<\/cite>, Sonatine<\/cite>, and Concerto Barocco<\/cite>. In 2017 she danced the lead roles in the company\u2019s premiere of Jerome Robbins\u2019 Afternoon of a Faun<\/cite>, and Peter Martins\u2019 Hallelujah Junction<\/cite>, and his Ash<\/cite>. After a season with Atlanta Ballet and two seasons with the Joffrey Ballet, under the direction of Gerald Arpino, Ariana returned to City Ballet in 2006. She has also performed as a guest artist with the American National Ballet and Ballet Yuma.
