As a principal dancer with the City Ballet of San Diego since 2001, she has danced the lead roles in the company\u2019s productions of <cite>The Nutcracker<\/cite>, <cite>Giselle<\/cite>, <cite>Don Quixote<\/cite>, <cite>A Midsummer Night\u2019s Dream<\/cite>, <cite>Carmen<\/cite>, <cite>Romeo and Juliet<\/cite>, <cite>Esmeralda and the Hunchback<\/cite>, <cite>House of Alba<\/cite>, <cite>Swan Lake<\/cite>, <cite>La Baydere<\/cite>, <cite>Spartacus Pas de Deux<\/cite>, <cite>Grand Pas Classique<\/cite>, and <cite>Ramona<\/cite>. Additionally, she has been featured in leading roles in works by George Balanchine, including <cite>Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux<\/cite>, <cite>Agon<\/cite>, <cite>Valse Fantaisie<\/cite>, <cite>Who Cares?<\/cite>, <cite>Serenade<\/cite>, <cite>Divertimento No. 15<\/cite>, <cite>Apollo<\/cite>, <cite>The Four Temperaments<\/cite>, <cite>Rubies<\/cite>, <cite>Walpurgisnacht Ballet<\/cite>, <cite>Tarantella<\/cite>, <cite>Emeralds<\/cite>, <cite>Sonatine<\/cite>, and <cite>Concerto Barocco<\/cite>. In 2017 she danced the lead roles in the company\u2019s premiere of Jerome Robbins\u2019 <cite>Afternoon of a Faun<\/cite>, and Peter Martins\u2019 <cite>Hallelujah Junction<\/cite>, and his <cite>Ash<\/cite>. After a season with Atlanta Ballet and two seasons with the Joffrey Ballet, under the direction of Gerald Arpino, Ariana returned to City Ballet in 2006. She has also performed as a guest artist with the American National Ballet and Ballet Yuma.
