Katelyn Cecil

Katelyn Cecil is originally from Conifer, Colorado. She began her training at Belliston Academy of Ballet and continued her studies at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School under Marjorie Grundvig and Dennis Marshall. She later joined the Trainee Program at Charlotte Ballet, directed by Laszlo Berdo and Kati Hanlon Mayo, where she had the opportunity to work with Patricia McBride and perform Fascinatin’ Rhythm from George Balanchine’s Who Cares?. Katelyn then danced with Milwaukee Ballet II, performing in Michael Pink’s Swan Lake and works by Calvin Hilpert and Kristopher Estes-Brown.

Katelyn joined City Ballet of San Diego in 2023 as an Apprentice and was promoted to Company Dancer in 2025. Her repertoire with the company includes George Balanchine’s Divertimento No. 15,, Emeralds, Serenade, The Four Temperaments. She performed Four Little Swans from Swan Lake and other featured works in the company’s productions.
